Peter Feiner has been active in the World Trade Center movement since 1980,
when the World Trade Center Basel was founded. He has played an active part
in the development of both the World Trade Center Basel and World Trade Center
Club.
Presently, he is Vice-Chairman of World Trade Center
Basel GmbH.

In the Basel Fair (now MCH Messe Schweiz AG), founder member of the World Trade Center Basel, the largest and most important
trade fair and convention centre in Switzerland as well as one of the leading
facilities in Europe, Peter Feiner was until his retirement in 2001 a member of the Board of Directors and
served as Secretary General. After his retirement he continued to work for the WTC Basel in various capacities.
In the World Trade Centers Association, Peter Feiner has held numerous positions
in various committees since 1982 and is at present Vice Chairman of the
Committee on WTC Quality and Standards. In 1984, he was responsible for
the organization of the WTCA General Assembly in Basel. Since 1994 he serves as WTCA Board Member.
Before joining the Basel Fair and World Trade Center Basel, Peter Feiner
worked in the insurance industry where he served his apprenticeship. He
then became active in the motor trade in Switzerland and the United Kingdom,
where he ultimately was responsible for the Volkswagen service policy nationwide.
From 1970 to 1980, he served as Vice Consul in the British Consulate in
Basel, and was responsible for the commercial department.
In addition to his positions in the Basel Fair and World Trade Center Basel,
Peter Feiner was a member in the Parliament of the Basel City canton where
he was particularly active in the field of local and regional development.
He was also a member of the Board of Cantonal Bank Basel. In the Swiss Army,
Peter Feiner served as company quartermaster in the Basel Infantry regiment.
He holds various positions in associations for regional politics, social organisations and sports.
Peter Feiner is married and his hobbies include sailing and skiing. |
