Named President and CEO of the San Diego World Trade Center (SDWTC) in February 2002, Bella Heule brings more than 20 years experience in international business to her position. As President and CEO, Bella is responsible for strategic planning, fundraising, business development and overall management.

SDWTC positions San Diego and regional businesses for global recognition and market success by leveraging its international expertise, resources and network. SDWTC provides comprehensive international trade services and key global contacts to facilitate and expand trade for regional and worldwide clients. Leveraging its global network of World Trade Centers and affiliate partners, SDWTC is the proven forum for international information, communications and connections.

 

Fluent in four languages, Bella began her career managing imports/exports for an automotive accessory company located in Switzerland. She worked in the customer service department of a Bern-based medical device manufacturer/distributor, and for Citicorp in Zurich. Since arriving in California in 1992, Bella worked as international sales representative and export manager for SNUGTOP, and took on her first not-for-profit management position as Executive Vice President for the World Trade Centers Association Los Angeles-Long Beach.

Bella serves as a board member of the World Trade Centers Association headquartered in New York, Alliance in Support of Airport Progress, Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana, San Diego North Economic Development Council, and University Club atop Symphony Towers. She is a member of the Pacific Council of International Policy; Mexico Business Center; and also serves on the International Committee of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Bella received her degree from the Neuchâtel Business College in Switzerland and holds professional certification as a Global Logistics Specialist from California State University Long Beach.
