Dr. Gyorgy Nanovfszky is the President of WTC Budapest and currently the Hungarian Ambassador to Singapore.

Dr. Nanovfszky's studies were in Budapest and Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow State University in 1967 as an expert in Slavic languages and literature. In 1968, Dr. Nanovfszky obtained a diploma from the Institute of International Relations as an expert on South East Asia. He received his Ph.D. in 1973 from the Budapest University.

 
Dr. Nanovfszky's professional career:

1968-1973Tourist agencies - as Director of congress tourism.
1973-1981Tourist agencies - as Director of congress tourism.
1981-1986Ministry of Foreign Trade of Hungary - as head of section for international organizations and UN activities. Delegate of Hungary to international commodity organizations and agreements in London as well as representative of Hungary to UNCTAD, UNIDO and UNCTAD/GATT International Trade Centers conferences.
1986-1991UN staff member in Geneva in charge of trade policy issues and UNDP financed project management in Africa.
1986- Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Secretary General, managing and representing international and press activities of HCC both in Hungary and abroad.
1991-1994Director, and then President of WTC Budapest.
1992- Director, and then President of WTC Budapest.
1992- Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice President.
1998Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Russia (1992)
1998Member of the WTCA Board of Directors.

Academic titles:

Dr. Nanovfszky has been an invited lecturer of universities both in Hungary and abroad, and has authored books and studies on trade policy, international economics and politics and linguistics.
Head of department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary.
President of the Hungarian Esperanto Association.
Member of Finnougric Academy of Science, accredited in Armenia and Georgia (1993) as well as in Turkmenistan (1995) and Uzbekistan (1996).
Member of International Academy of Science in San Marino (AIS)
